SHORT DESCRIPTION

Hydrogeological study of the Parapeiros river catchment. Exploration of the causes of aquifers degradation, and drawn conclusions on the qualitative and quantitative parameters of groundwater. Water balance computations. Design, and calibrate of a groundwater simulation model, and run the model on different scenarios to predict the aquifers response in time, under the implementation of certain intervention actions (artificial recharge). Design of an artificial recharge programme and run the model for this scenario. The programme was implemented later (see the relative project in this site).
